COSTEP Massachusetts
Mission
To create a statewide disaster preparedness plan for cultural resources involving the cultural and emergency management communities regarding disaster mitigation, preparedness, response, and recovery. The plan will ensure an ongoing dialogue between these communities that fosters mutual understanding and coordination.
COSTEP Massachusetts is the pilot project of COSTEP, an IMLS funded project to develop a framework that will help states create a customized emergency response plan for their states. This wiki is for participants and people interested in the planning process. In March 2008, librarians, archivists, and emergency managers gathered for the first in a series of meetings to implement COSTEP in Massachusetts. The most recent documents resulting from that meeting and subsequent meetings will be posted on the Meetings page. Information about this pilot project may be found on the About this pilot project
page.
